Even if it means using more words, it shows your readers that you care enough about the topic to get into the specifics of how you feel.The main point of any essay should be the truth. You should show your readers how you got to the main point of the essay. However, if you want to explain how you came to the main point, using a good example will help. Writing something like, 'I learned why the supply of oil is going up in price; it's because of this and that...' is far more interesting than, 'I believe that the cost of oil is increasing because of...'Many students who are writing an essay to prove their points of view find that they need to go back and start over several times when they are not able to connect the two points together with a long argument.
